She informed the proceedings the defendant had played this game with the children "over an extended period", and children had previously fallen ill the following morning.

The legal representative continued: "Recently" his stepson had suspicions about the activities, justifiably.
"They resolved" to examine in the defendant's belongings."
The legal counsel said objects including infant oil, Vaseline and injection devices were found, and his stepchild contacted the law enforcement about his suspicions.
She stated the defendant proceeded to engage in the "sweet game" with six youngsters that evening - Saturday 26 July - and they were everyone unwell the next day.
"The police had not arrived by that point," she added.
The police watchdog, the investigative body, earlier informed that it was investigating the police response of the incident.
The prosecutor said the children were struggling to walk due to their sickness, so the stepson notified the authorities once more.
She said the man then engaged in the "treat game" in a area of five children.
